We determined whether nodular adenosis of the breast possesses any pathognomonic features on imaging studies.
The imaging features of nodular adenosis are often benign-appearing and can be indistinguishable from other ellipsoid, circumscribed, or hypodense masses. Occasionally, nodular adenosis may appear suggestive of malignancy. Pathologic evaluation by excisional or large core needle biopsy is necessary for diagnosis.
