Pure nongestational choriocarcinoma of ovary.

INTRODUCTION

Primary ovarian choriocarcinoma arising presumably from a germ cell is extremely rare. Besides arising gestationally or nongestationally, it may be pure or mixed with other germ cell tumors like immature teratoma, dysgerminoma, polyembryoma.

CASE REPORT AND DISCUSSION

We present a case of a 22-year-old woman diagnosed with pure nongestational choriocarcinoma of the ovary with a review of the literature and discussion of its origin.
