A new 24-membered ring lactone, macrolactin N, was isolated from a culture broth of Bacillus subtilis and its structure was established by various spectral analysis. Macrolactin N inhibited Staphylococcus aureus peptide deformylase with an IC50 value of 7.5 microM and also showed antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and S. aureus.
从枯草芽孢杆菌的培养液中分离出一种新的24元环内酯——大环内酯N,并通过各种光谱分析确定了其结构。大环内酯N对金黄色葡萄球菌肽脱甲酰酶具有抑制作用,IC50值为7.5微摩尔,并且对大肠杆菌和金黄色葡萄球菌也显示出抗菌活性。
