Abstract
- Mice at various ages between birth and adulthood were injected with cocaine hydrochloride (30 mg/kg) and then their brains were assayed for 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and 5-hydroxyindole acetic acid (5-HIAA). 2. Changes in the levels of both metabolites were in keeping with 5-HT uptake inhibition at all ages.
