OBJECTIVE
To identify and propose potential solutions to challenges encountered by clinical and consulting occupational and environmental medicine practitioners in the management of workplace depression.
METHOD
A review of English-language medical literature from 1960 to the present.
RESULTS
Numerous consequences and challenges to clinical management of workplace depression are recognized. Several potential present and future roles of the practitioner--in prevention, initial recognition and management, appropriate referral, care integration, stakeholder advocacy and education, and administration--are identified, and specific interventions are proposed and explored.
CONCLUSION
Numerous opportunities exist for clinical and consulting practitioners to intervene to improve the current management of workplace depression.

识别并提出临床及咨询职业与环境医学从业者在管理职场抑郁症时所遇到挑战的潜在解决方案。
方法
回顾1960年至今的英文医学文献。
结果
认识到职场抑郁症临床管理存在诸多后果和挑战。确定了从业者在预防、初步识别与管理、适当转诊、护理整合、利益相关者宣传与教育以及管理等方面目前和未来的若干潜在作用，并提出并探讨了具体干预措施。
结论
临床及咨询从业者有诸多机会进行干预，以改善目前职场抑郁症的管理状况。
