Abstract

This review features selected articles from the literature from January 1998 to March 1999 involving solid-phase chemical methodologies. Areas of particular interest highlighted include studies that have given new insight into the influence of the solid-phase environment on chemistry and the need for further development of new resins. Novel applications of solid-phase methodologies that have been reviewed include an update on polymer-supported reagents and progress with stereocontrolled reactions on solid-phase. The approach of generating natural product libraries is growing in popularity and some key examples have been outlined.
