An isolated fracture of the first rib is rare. Stress fractures of the first rib have previously been reported in various sports and the mechanism of fractures of the first rib has been well documented. Stress fractures of the first rib have also been reported in laborers involved in heavy lifting. The course is insidious, and identification of the lesion is usually made on the basis of an incidental roentgenogram. No reported case of stress fracture of the first rib in a weightlifter has hitherto been available. This paper describes such a case for the first time.
第一肋骨孤立性骨折较为罕见。此前已报道过在各类运动中发生的第一肋骨应力性骨折，且第一肋骨骨折的机制已有详尽记录。在从事重物搬运的劳动者中也有第一肋骨应力性骨折的报道。其病程隐匿，通常是在偶然的X线检查时发现病变。迄今尚无举重运动员发生第一肋骨应力性骨折的报道。本文首次描述了这样一例病例。
