Abstract

In the title compound, Cu(C(11)H(8)NO(3))(CH(3)COO)(C(10)H(8)N(2)), the Cu(II) ion is six-coordinated by two N atoms from two 4,4'-bipyridine ligands, four O atoms from one acetate ligand, one 2-(4-oxo-1,4-dihydro-quinolin-1-yl)acetate ligand and one water mol-ecule in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The 4,4'-bipyridine ligands inter-connect [Cu(C(11)H(8)NO(3))(CH(3)COO)] units, giving rise to a chain along [010]. These chains are further linked to each other by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, leading to a two-dimensional supra-molecular network parallel to (100).
