Chymotrypsin, a proteolytic enzyme included in combined therapy of 27 patients with gonorrhea complicated by the scrotal organs inflammation, has normalized the functions of the hypophyseo-gonadal and hypophyseo-adrenal systems, i.e. hypophyseal luteotropic function, adrenocortical gluco- and mineralocorticoid functions, and testicular androgenopoiesis. Hyperprolactin- and hyperprogesteronemia persisted after therapy, hyperestrogenism and follitropic hypofunction of the hypophysis have developed, that may become the reason of stable pathospermia and disordered fertility after therapy of complicated gonorrhea.
