Abstract

This paper investigates the propagation of Lamb waves in thin plates with quadratic nonlinearity by one-way mixing method using numerical simulations. It is shown that an A-mode wave can be generated by a pair of S and A mode waves only when mixing condition is satisfied, and mixing wave signals are capable of locating the damage zone. Additionally, it is manifested that the acoustic nonlinear parameter increases linearly with quadratic nonlinearity but monotonously with the size of mixing zone. Furthermore, because of frequency deviation, the waveform of the mixing wave changes significantly from a regular diamond shape to toneburst trains.

本文采用单向混合法,通过数值模拟研究了具有二次非线性的薄板中兰姆波的传播特性。结果表明,只有当满足混合条件时,一对S波和A波才能产生A模波,且混合波信号能够定位损伤区域。此外,结果表明声非线性参数随二次非线性呈线性增加,但随混合区尺寸单调变化。此外,由于频率偏差,混合波的波形从规则的菱形显著变为猝发声序列。
