Chylous ascites is rare and results in accumulation of lymph in the abdominal cavity, due to several mechanisms. The ascitic liquid is milky because of the high concentration of triglycerides (>200 mg/dl). The higher incidence compared to the past is explained by increased survival of patients with cancer and more aggressive surgery. We describe the case of an 87-year-old man admitted to the geriatric ward due to general oedema, chylous ascites and loss of weight, explained by mantle cell lymphoma.
Chylous ascites is more frequent in trauma, but in some cases may be related to obstruction of the thoracic duct by retroperitoneal fibrosis, pancreatitis or neoplasms.It is a progressive, difficult to manage condition, with a spectrum of treatment ranging from a special diet to surgery.Its prognosis depends fundamentally on the predisposing condition.
乳糜性腹水较为罕见，是由多种机制导致腹腔内淋巴液积聚所致。由于甘油三酯浓度高（>200mg/dl），腹水呈乳白色。与过去相比发病率升高的原因是癌症患者生存率提高以及手术更加激进。我们描述了一名87岁男性因全身水肿、乳糜性腹水和体重减轻入住老年病房的病例，病因是套细胞淋巴瘤。
乳糜性腹水在创伤中更常见，但在某些情况下可能与腹膜后纤维化、胰腺炎或肿瘤导致的胸导管梗阻有关。它是一种进行性、难以处理的病症，治疗方法多样，从特殊饮食到手术。其预后主要取决于诱发疾病。
