Principles of Treatment and Results after Hohmann's Operation: The method of clinical examination and rational conservative measures including physiotherapy are discussed in the light of the literature and the results of a cooperative study. To summarize briefly it may be said that conservative therapy should first of all be completely exhausted. Local injections of a corticosteroid should not exceed 3 and at most 6. If conservative therapy is unsuccessful after 4 months, operation is indicated and the extended Hohmann operation performed.
