A novel aerobic, Gram-negative bacterial strain, RR3-28, was isolated from a seawater recirculating aquaculture system in Busan, Republic of Korea. Cells were rod-shaped, non-motile, oxidase-positive, catalase-negative and grew optimally at 25-30 °C, pH 8.5 and 3 % (w/v) NaCl. Based on the results of phylogenetic analysis, strain RR3-28 was most closely related to X9-2-2 within the family with 95.97 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity. The major cellular fatty acids were summed feature 8 (Cω7 and/or Cω6, 71.1 %) and 11-methyl Cω7 (14.4 %). The major polar lipids were phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylmonomethylethanolamine, phosphatidylcholine and unidentified aminolipids. The predominant quinone was ubiquinone Q-10 and the DNA G+C content was 58.6 mol%. On the basis of its phenotypic and genotypic characteristics, strain RR3-28 represents a novel genus and species belonging to the family , for which the name gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of the species is RR3-28 (=KCTC 52649=DSM 107947).
从韩国釜山的海水再循环水产养殖系统中分离到一株新型需氧、革兰氏阴性细菌菌株 RR3-28。细胞呈杆状,不运动,氧化酶阳性,过氧化氢酶阴性,最佳生长温度为 25-30°C,pH 值 8.5 和 3%(w/v)NaCl。基于系统发育分析的结果,菌株 RR3-28与家族内的 X9-2-2 最为密切相关,16S rRNA 基因序列相似度为 95.97%。主要细胞脂肪酸为总和特征 8(Cω7 和/或 Cω6,71.1%)和 11-甲基 Cω7(14.4%)。主要极性脂为磷脂酰甘油、磷脂酰乙醇胺、磷脂单甲基乙醇胺、磷脂酰胆碱和未鉴定的胺脂。主要醌为泛醌 Q-10,DNA G+C 含量为 58.6 mol%。根据其表型和基因型特征,菌株 RR3-28 代表了一个新属和种,属于家族,建议使用新属名和新种名。该种的模式菌株为 RR3-28(=KCTC 52649=DSM 107947)。
