Abstract

Rhenium-based metallodrugs have recently been highlighted as promising candidates for new antibiotics to combat multi-drug resistant (MDR) pathogens. A new class of rhenium(V) dioxo complexes were prepared from readily accessible diphosphine ligands, and have been shown to possess potent activity against () and () alongside low human cell toxicity.
