Colon adenocarcinoma (COAD) is one of the most common malignant tumors in clinics. It is often found at an advanced stage, with high incidence and poor prognosis; early diagnosis is difficult and treatment methods are limited. In order to find new methods for diagnosis and treatment of COAD, people pay more and more attention to the discovery and functional research of new oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes of COAD. 2-microglobulin (B2M) plays different physiological and pathological roles in tumor cells and nontumor cells. At present, there is no public report on the expression of B2M in COAD. In this study, the expression of B2M mRNA in COAD tissues was compared with that in normal tissues. The relationship between the expression of B2M mRNA and the stage, histological subtype, lymph node metastasis, TP53 mutation, and survival time of COAD was discussed. It was found that B2M is a potential tumor suppressor gene in COAD. The decreased expression of B2M after mutation can cause immune escape of COAD cells, thus affecting the therapeutic effect and prognosis. This study provides a new idea for the prevention and treatment of COAD.
结肠腺癌(COAD)是临床上最常见的恶性肿瘤之一。它常于晚期被发现,发病率高且预后差;早期诊断困难且治疗方法有限。为了寻找COAD的新诊断和治疗方法,人们越来越关注COAD新癌基因和肿瘤抑制基因的发现及功能研究。β2-微球蛋白(B2M)在肿瘤细胞和非肿瘤细胞中发挥着不同的生理和病理作用。目前,尚无关于B2M在COAD中表达的公开报道。在本研究中,比较了COAD组织中B2M mRNA的表达与正常组织中的表达。探讨了B2M mRNA表达与COAD的分期、组织学亚型、淋巴结转移、TP53突变及生存时间之间的关系。研究发现B2M是COAD中的一个潜在肿瘤抑制基因。突变后B2M表达降低可导致COAD细胞的免疫逃逸,从而影响治疗效果和预后。本研究为COAD的防治提供了新思路。
