The dose modifying effects of the age, anatomic location of the normal tissue, positioning of animal during irradiation, preliminary treatment, number of fractions and time interval between doses on response of the normal tissues to radiation were studied, using various kinds of response of mouse hind legs such as early skin reaction, epilation, skin contraction, ulcer formation, leg contraction and growth retardation of femur. The dose modifying factors varied with the kinds and the levels of injuries, meaning that it is very important to define what the critical normal tissue is and its end point first of all, when we discuss the dose modifying factors with respect to the therapeutic gain factors.
利用小鼠后腿的各种反应,如早期皮肤反应、脱毛、皮肤收缩、溃疡形成、腿部收缩和股骨生长迟缓,研究了年龄、正常组织的解剖位置、照射期间动物的体位、预处理、分割次数和剂量间隔对正常组织辐射反应的剂量修饰作用。剂量修饰因素随损伤的种类和程度而变化,这意味着当我们讨论与治疗增益因素相关的剂量修饰因素时,首先确定关键正常组织是什么及其终点非常重要。
