Cancer is a worldwide health problem with high mortality in children and adults, making searching for novel bioactive compounds with potential use in cancer treatment essential. Piplartine, also known as piperlongumine, is an alkamide isolated from Linn, with relevant therapeutic potential. Therefore, this review covered research on the antitumor activity of piplartine, and the studies reported herein confirm the antitumor properties of piplartine and highlight its possible application as an anticancer agent against various types of tumors. The evidence found serves as a reference for advancing mechanistic research on this metabolite and preparing synthetic derivatives or analogs with better antitumor activity in order to develop new drug candidates.
癌症是一个全球性的健康问题,在儿童和成人中死亡率都很高,因此寻找具有潜在癌症治疗用途的新型生物活性化合物至关重要。荜茇酰胺,也称为胡椒碱,是一种从荜茇中分离出的链状酰胺,具有相关治疗潜力。因此,本综述涵盖了荜茇酰胺抗肿瘤活性的研究,本文报道的研究证实了荜茇酰胺的抗肿瘤特性,并突出了其作为抗癌剂对抗各种类型肿瘤的可能应用。所发现的证据为推进对这种代谢物的机制研究以及制备具有更好抗肿瘤活性的合成衍生物或类似物以开发新的候选药物提供了参考。
