Gordon Emilia Wong, Leung Doris
Dr. Emilia Wong Gordon lives and works on the traditional unceded territory of the xmƏθkƏỳƏm (Musqueam) people. She received her DVM from the University of California, Davis in 2005 and obtained specialty board certification in Shelter Medicine Practice through the American Board of Veterinary Pr actitioners in 2020. She is the owner of Haven Veterinary Services, which provides services to animal shelters, rescues, and other animal welfare stakeholders. Her professional interests include infectious disease, animal welfare epidemiology, and feline behavior, and welfare.
Dr. Doris Leung is a veterinarian and division director of the Canadian Animal Health Surveillance System (CAHSS). She completed her DVM at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2014, and MPH (Master of Public Health) at the University of British Columbia in 2018. Her professional interests include veterinary epidemiology, health communication, stakeholder outreach, and EDI principles in the animal health sector. Doris was born in Hong Kong, raised in Toronto, and currently resides in Vancouver.
