PURPOSE
To report the outcomes of a case of bacterial infectious scleritis managed with thorough debridement and antibiotic irrigation therapy.
OBSERVATIONS
A patient presented with severe infectious scleritis secondary to subsequent to cataract surgery. The scleral abscess was cleaned completely and rinsed with ciprofloxacin every day in the treatment room. Over the next week, the conjunctival and scleral wounds healed. The patient's condition was observed to be stable over the next 3 months, and the uncorrected vision acuity in the treated eye improved to 0.22 logMAR.
CONCLUSIONS AND IMPORTANCE
This case highlights the utilization of thorough debridement and antibiotic irrigation to preserve the globe and good vision while treating severe infectious scleritis.
目的
报告一例采用彻底清创和抗生素冲洗治疗的细菌性感染性巩膜炎的治疗结果。
观察结果
一名患者在白内障手术后继发严重感染性巩膜炎。在治疗室每天对巩膜脓肿进行彻底清理并用环丙沙星冲洗。在接下来的一周里，结膜和巩膜伤口愈合。在接下来的3个月里观察到患者病情稳定，患眼的未矫正视力提高到了logMAR 0.22。
结论与意义
