The authors discuss their experience in the treatment of lesions of the extensor apparatus of the distal phalanx of fingers in children. The discussion touches upon diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of the problem and includes a detailed description of the surgical procedure adopted by the authors, which proves adequate to obviate the well-known morphological and functional alterations often following such lesions.
