Symptoms of chronic subclavian occlusion including swelling and pain may be disabling. In the case presented a patient with disabling symptoms 18 years after ligation of the right subclavian vein during resection of a chest wall tumor is successfully treated with a single-anastomosis internal jugular venous bypass.
