[Primary reconstruction of the mandible with a pedicled muscle and bone transplant--the pectoralis major and rib flap].

The one-step reconstruction of the mandibular after tumor resection with a pedicle flap is reported. We used an osteomyocutaneous flap of teh pectoralis-mayor-muscle with a periosteal vascularized segment of the 5th rip. Our results in 8 cases are demonstrated. Technique and indications are introduced and discussed.
