Simultaneous occurrence of spinal tumor and lumbar disk herniation.

Eight cases are reported where spinal tumor occurred simultaneously with hernited lumbar disks in a series of 609 lumbar disk operations. The value of the diagnostic procedures is discussed and the literature is reviewed.
