[Demographic and clinical features of patients with the change from depressive phase to manic phase and without change in the course of bipolar affective disorder].

Patient's characteristic and clinical course of bipolar disorder with sudden change from depression to mania were analyzed. It was found that sex, age; number of previous manic episodes and switches may be predictive factors.
