Positioned as they are between administration and staff, hospital middle managers are especially vulnerable to risks, failures, and the emotions and stress that accompany them. "Failure," however, is a relative term, and turning failure into success chiefly entails a change in perspective and an acceptance of the manager's right to make mistakes.
