Abstract
The swift changes in the delivery and financing of health care have created something which the Blue Cross and Blue Shield organization has called "The New Health Care". Encompassing health maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations, and managed care options, it is designed to help control health care costs by providing choice and flexibility for consumers and providers of care.
