Abstract
Faced with stiff competition from freestanding surgical centers, hospitals can increase revenue by knowing product-line costing and closely monitoring productivity. This article describes three applications of an acuity-based case-mix management system in the operating room of Primary Children's Medical Center, Salt Lake City.
