To evaluate the effectiveness of ultrasound (US) and computed tomography (CT) in diagnosing salivary gland neoplasms, 99 patients (benign tumor--72; salivary cyst--4 and malignant tumor--23) were examined. Also, 84 ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsies were performed. Both US and CT showed high diagnostic potential in dealing with bulky lesions of the glands. Although sensitivity was 55.6 and 66.7, specificity--98.2 and 98.7 and accuracy of differential diagnosis between benign and malignant lesions--87.6 and 91.8%, respectively, differential diagnosis of benign and malignant tumors on the basis of US and CT evidence alone is not possible.
为评估超声(US)和计算机断层扫描(CT)在诊断唾液腺肿瘤中的有效性,对99例患者(良性肿瘤——72例;唾液囊肿——4例;恶性肿瘤——23例)进行了检查。此外,还进行了84次超声引导下细针穿刺活检。US和CT在处理腺体的大体积病变方面均显示出较高的诊断潜力。尽管敏感性分别为55.6%和66.7%,特异性分别为98.2%和98.7%,良性与恶性病变鉴别诊断的准确率分别为87.6%和91.8%,但仅根据US和CT证据对良性和恶性肿瘤进行鉴别诊断是不可能的。
