A careful consideration was given to the results of surgical treatment of patients with traumatic cataracts complicated with concomitant pathology (corneal scars, anterior and posterior synechia, lens subdislocation, anterior and posterior crystalline capsule defects, etc.). In 107 cases phacoemulsification was done with other cases having lensectomy, intracapsular extraction or phacoaspiration of traumatic cataract. Indications and contraindications are specified for traumatic cataract phacoemulsification.
