[Distribution of a cell with intracytoplasmic crystal and crystaloid material in the small and large intestine of the rat and mouse].

In suckling and adult rats, distribution in the small and large intestine of crystal-like containing cell was studied and was compared with that of crystal containing cell in the mouse. In the former, cell predominates in cecum and in the latter in the ileum. Numerical differences were statistical significant. It was postulated that these cells might be different. Up to date, they have been regarded as the same cell by other authors and are known as globular leucocyte.
