[Reactivity of the somesthesic cortex (S1) during the wakefulness-sleep cycle in the rat].

The changes in amplitude of the activities evoked in the S1 cortex by stimulation of the specific radiations have been studied during the sleep-waking cycle. The recovery mode of these activities after a short or long delay has been tested by the paired stimuli method. Results are in general agreement with those described in the cat.
