Four newly hatched larvae of the warble fly, Cuterebra angustifrons, were successfully introduced into the mouse host, Peromyscus leucopus, by application to the belly skin, the mouth, and the nose. Regardless of the site of entry, each larva migrated to the inguinal region of the host and completed its development normally.
