[Effect of leukeran on the local Shwartzman phenomenon].

A study has been made to investigate the effect of treatment with Leukeran (Chorambucil) on the development of what is known as a loval Shwartzman phenomenon. The experimental results show that it is only in those cases where the leukopoietic capacity of the organism has been fully exhausted that it is possible for the development of this particular phenomenon to be reliably prevented by immunsuppression brought about by treatment with Leukeran.
