The tetrapeptide synthesized by Folkers et al. was injected intraperitonealy in normal adult male rats. The release of FSH is significant 90 and 120 minutes after injections of 150, 100, 250 microgram of this substance. An increase of LH was only observed at 120 minutes after injection of 100 microgram of the tetrapeptide. Thus, in rats dissociation between FSH and LH release can be observed.
