MFGDP(UK): the Key Skills Portfolio.

The purpose of this paper is to enable general dental practitioners to understand how to compile an evidence-based portfolio for the MFGDP(UK) examination. The principles of evidence-based portfolios are outlined. There are six key skills that a candidate needs to understand in order to complete this portfolio. The six Key Skills are: medical emergencies in general practice, infection control, record keeping, radiography, legislation as applied to general practice and staff training. Specific advice is given on each key skill in order to complete the Portfolio.
