[Heterogeneity of demyelination in multiple sclerosis and clinical differences].

Recent studies of demyelination in multiple sclerosis revealed four different patterns, which led to the assumption of disease heterogeneity, but without evident correlation with clinical and neuroimaging picture. Therefore at present it seems too early to conclude that multiple sclerosis is not a uniform entity, but a group of different diseases.
