OBJECTIVE
To investigate resident burnout in relation to work and home-related factors.
METHOD
Maslach Burnout Inventory was mailed to residents in eight different medical specialties, with a response rate of 35%.
RESULTS
Overall, 50% of residents met burnout criteria, ranging from 75% (obstetrics/gynecology) to 27% (family medicine). The first year of residency, being single, personal stress, and dissatisfaction with faculty were independently associated with burnout.
CONCLUSIONS
Efforts to reduce resident burnout nationally would benefit from expanding beyond the work-hours regulation.

调查住院医师职业倦怠与工作及家庭相关因素的关系。
方法
将马氏职业倦怠量表邮寄给八个不同医学专业的住院医师，回复率为35%。
结果
总体而言，50%的住院医师符合职业倦怠标准，范围从75%（妇产科）到27%（家庭医学）。住院医师第一年、单身、个人压力以及对带教老师的不满与职业倦怠独立相关。
结论
在全国范围内减少住院医师职业倦怠的努力，若能超越工作时间规定进行拓展，将会受益。
