Abstract

This analytical review is dealing with the origin and evolution of modern rabies as well as hypotheses concerning the natural foci of rabies infection, the formation of the Central European nosological area of rabies and its eastward shift due to the systematic oral vaccination of the main hosts. The epizootological problems connected with the character of the natural foci of rabies, as well as the methods and prospects of the vaccination of foxes on the territory of Central Russia, are discussed.

本分析性综述涉及现代狂犬病的起源与演变，以及关于狂犬病感染自然疫源地、中欧狂犬病病种区域的形成及其因主要宿主的系统性口服疫苗接种而东移的假说。文中还讨论了与狂犬病自然疫源地特征相关的动物流行病学问题，以及俄罗斯中部地区狐狸疫苗接种的方法与前景。
