Abstract
The surface pressure/molecular area isotherms ( pi approximately A ) of lanthanium bisphthalocyanine were investigated, showing an edge-on molecular orientation of the macrocycle rings on the water subphase. Langmuir-Blodgett films of this compound were prepared and characterized using IR, UV-vis absorption spectroscopy.
