Abstract
Virginia Mason embraces employee productivity ideas. When an employee at the Virginia Mason Medical Center, in Seattle, WA, has an idea about how to improve productivity, he or she is encouraged to fill out an idea form. These suggestions are not dismissed by management. Instead, there is a well-defined process to adopt as many of them as possible.
