A 56-year-old woman presented with choroidal folds and was found to have a large intraconal mass. MRI disclosed the mass to enhance with gadolinium and be hypointense on both T1- and T2-weighted images. The tumor proved to be a granular cell tumor. Granular cell tumors are rare neoplasms that may affect the orbit, lacrimal apparatus, conjunctiva, and caruncle. This is the first report describing the MRI characteristics of orbital granular cell tumors.
