Abstract
Guidelines for the treatment and management of depression in primary and secondary care have been available for more than a year. Yet anecdotal evidence suggests their implementation is patchy. Treatment should be tailored to the severity of the depression. Psychological treatments can be used alone or in combination with antidepressants, depending on the illness severity. Prescribers and patients should be aware of the side effects of the drugs.

初级和二级医疗保健中抑郁症治疗与管理指南已经出台一年多了。然而，坊间证据表明其实施情况并不理想。治疗应根据抑郁症的严重程度进行调整。心理治疗可单独使用，也可与抗抑郁药联合使用，这取决于疾病的严重程度。开处方者和患者都应了解药物的副作用。
