Abstract
It is suggested to distinguish two types of epileptic encephalopathy--with and without epileptic seizures. Basing on clinical and literature data, electrographic criteria of epileptic encephalopathy were developed. They are diffuse high amplitude dysrhythmia and burst-suppression patter abnormal for age.
