[Role of diffuse nontoxic goiter in the structure of thyroid gland diseases in children].

The article presents a review of literature related to current aspects of the problem of diffuse nontoxic goiter. Etiology of the disease and the thyroid system functional state have also been given in the article. The athors emphasize the necessity of precising a number of classification issues as well as present different therapeutic approaches in treating patients with diffuse nontoxic goiter.
