Abstract
The future of nursing may well depend on the study of its history. Because the study of history is so important to nurses today, the Nursing History Committee was formed to collect, protect, and maintain significant information. The Nursing Heritage Foundation, an outgrowth of this committee, established the Nursing History Collection at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
