Metalation of [28]hexaphyrin(1.1.1.1.1.1) with RhCl(CO)(2) resulted in the formation of an antiaromatic bis-Rh(i) complex, which can be oxidized to an aromatic bis-Rh(i) complex with retention of its rectangular structure.
