Abstract

Growth hormone (GH) and Insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) play important roles in the homeostasis of bone throughout human life. GH deficiency causes growth failure in children and osteoporosis in adults. However, clinical situation did not always endorse such relation. And it is still unknown that the replacement may ameliorates bone loss caused by GH deficiency. Several problems after the approval of GH treatment in adult GH deficiency were discussed.
