Radiography transculcitam: technique and devices to simplify bedside radiography.

Bedside chest radiography may be simplified by placement of the cassette under the mattress instead of directly under the patient. With the cassette pressed down into the mattress, a horizontal lateral view can be obtained without having to lift the patient. One technician can use two simple devices to obtain anteroposterior and lateral views, even of a heavy, unconscious patient. A cassette holder for cross-table views of small subjects is also described.
