Angiogenesis is important in the promotion and progression of malignancy. The formation of new blood vessels is coordinated by many factors, angiopoietins among others. Overexpression of angiopoietins has been observed in various tumors. The aim of the study was to evaluate plasma concentration of Ang-1, Ang-2 and Tie-2 in cervical cancer.
The study group consisted of 34 patients with cervical cancer and the control group of 20 healthy volunteers. Plasma concentrations of Ang-1, Ang-2 and Tie-2 were evaluated by ELISA.
Plasma concentrations of Ang-1, Ang-2, Tie-2 and Ang-1/Ang-2 ratios were significantly higher in cervical cancer patients than in controls. Although there was no correlation between concentration of Ang-1, Ang-2, Tie-2 and clinical stage (FIGO), the Ang-1/Ang-2 ratio was higher in Stage I than in II-III. Ang-1 correlated positively with Ang-2 and Tie-2 in a subgroup with Stage II-III and Ang-2 with Tie-2 in a subgroup with Stage I.
Plasma concentrations of Ang- 1, Ang-2 and Tie-2 may be useful additional tumor markers in cervical cancer.
血管生成在恶性肿瘤的发生和发展过程中起着重要作用。新血管的形成由多种因素协同作用,血管生成素是其中之一。在多种肿瘤中均观察到血管生成素的过表达。本研究旨在评估宫颈癌患者血浆中血管生成素-1(Ang-1)、血管生成素-2(Ang-2)和酪氨酸激酶受体 Tie-2 的浓度。
研究组由 34 例宫颈癌患者组成,对照组为 20 名健康志愿者。采用酶联免疫吸附测定法(ELISA)评估血浆中 Ang-1、Ang-2 和 Tie-2 的浓度。
宫颈癌患者血浆中 Ang-1、Ang-2、Tie-2 的浓度以及 Ang-1/Ang-2 比值均显著高于对照组。尽管 Ang-1、Ang-2、Tie-2 的浓度与临床分期(国际妇产科联盟(FIGO)分期)之间无相关性,但 I 期患者的 Ang-1/Ang-2 比值高于 II - III 期。在 II - III 期亚组中,Ang-1 与 Ang-2 和 Tie-2 呈正相关,在 I 期亚组中,Ang-2 与 Tie-2 呈正相关。
血浆中 Ang-1、Ang-2 和 Tie-2 的浓度可能是宫颈癌有用的额外肿瘤标志物。
