To provide the radiation-induced technical reference and theoretical basis for safflower and other medicinal plants.
Seeds of Carthamus tinctorius were irradiated with 60Cogamma-ray, and germination rate of seeds, germination, seedling rate and seedling height, root length, fresh weight, root activity and peroxide catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD), superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity were determined.
The LD50 of radiation dose is about 300 Gy, effects of seeds irradiation with 6Co-gamma-ray on shoot growth and physiological status of C. tinctorius are obtained.

用⁶⁰Coγ射线辐照红花种子,测定种子发芽率、发芽势、成苗率以及幼苗的苗高、根长、鲜重、根系活力和过氧化物酶(CAT)、过氧化物酶(POD)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活性。
辐射剂量的半数致死量约为300 Gy,得出了⁶⁰Coγ射线辐照种子对红花地上部分生长和生理状态的影响。
